Bison Bridges are available in 3 standard widths:

Our recycled plastic is processed from consumer waste and includes plastic bottles, carrier bags, food packaging and various other items of plastic waste.
It contains mostly HDPE (High Density Polythene), smaller quantities of LDPE (Low Density Polythene) and PP (Polypropylene) but no PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride)
Bison Bridge kits are delivered either to customers premises for unload by forklift or direct to site and mechanically unloaded.

Recycled Plastic Bison bridges are popular, due to a longer service life and being a product with a manufacturing process that uses plastic bottles and other used plastic goods. It’s also worth noting there is no risk of chemical leaching from preservatives as they are not used with recycled plastic.
Bison Timber bridges offer a lower cost option and are prefered by some clients in providing a natural look.
Both options provide a non-slip deck board surface.
Yes, the timber we purchase is from FSC accredited sources
The bridge length should be measured from the edge of one bank to the edge of the other, with an additional minimum allowance of 2 metres.
Bison bridges are supplied in kit form, allowing the components to be moved manually to the chosen location.

Bison bridge steels are also available supplied in a spliced format, allowing for easier handling.
Bison Bridges have a galvanized steel beam structure, with a service design life of 120 years.
Recycled plastic deck boards and parapets also have a long service life in excess of 40 years. Bison timber bridges have deck boards and parapets made of Redwood with a service life of 15 – 20 years, subject to location. Ekki timber is a hardwood decking option, with a service life of 50+ years.
We hold stock of regular Bison Bridges, with delivery within 3-5 days.
All other bridges are typically available for delivery 4 weeks from order date.

No, Bison bridges are manufactured to pedestrian, cycle or bridle way specification. We don’t supply bridges for motor vehicles.
Bison Bridges are supplied in kit form for ease of installation. We also provide a pre-assembled option, for craning into position on site.
If you require a full installation service please ask for details of our recommended installers in your area.
Yes, as well as being available in kit form for assembly on site, Bison Bridges can be supplied pre-assembled and craned into position.
Materials used for Bison Bridges are well suited to rural and urban locations. However, should you have a particular requirement to change the appearance of a bridge, eg working in an SSSI location, we’re willing to discuss options.
Newly galvanised steel beams will dull in appearance when exposed to the environment, blending in to the surroundings. However, steel beams are also available with a powder coated finish (or painted), to your chosen colour.
