Robin Hole campsite: replacement bridge

Robin Hole is a Girlguiding campsite, set in the beautiful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales. Our team have just completed the installation of a 1.5mtr wide Bison bridge.

Our client at Robin Holes campsite required a new bridge to replace the existing failing timber crossing with chicken wire covering.

The installation team removed the existing structure, cast new concrete abutments and erected the recycled plastic 5 mtr Bison bridge structure. This project include a cable tray to carry the pipework crossing in the same location as the bridge.

Bridge specification:

  • What3words location – ///slightly.colder.engineers
  • Pedestrian Bridge, 1500mm deck width x 5000mm span
  • Recycled plastic parapets and deck
  • Galvanised steel structural beams mounted on concrete abutments
